Skilpadvlei wine estate is a working farm that has been part of the Joubert family for over four generations, the original farmhouse dates back to 1917.

This fully operational farm has 60 ha under vineyards. The harvest consists of 80% red and 20% white grapes. All grapes on the farm are supplied to the Vlottenburg Wine Cellar., which is renowned for its good value for money wines.

Skilpadvlei also boasts six self catering guest cottages, a fully equipped conference centre and a function hall on the farm.

It is the ideal getaway for nature lovers with the surrounding vineyards and trees being the natural habitat of a variety of birds. Black bass can be fished from the farm dam or just take a hike between the vineyards and enjoy the panoramic views.
