L´Auberge is an old world Farm Inn, dedicated to serving traditional French food in an ´ambience tranquille´; with alfresco dining in summer. A dream was realized in September 1991 when L'Auberge du Paysan Restaurant opened its doors to a very special clientéle.

A subtle feeling of the South of France, a definite flavour of the Provence and a touch of the olde worlde European charm and culture, join to bring you a fine French restaurant. Here you will enjoy traditional French cooking prepared by chef/patron Frederick Thermann and his team of professionals.

Situated on the Wine Route amongst the vineyards between Somerset West and Stellenbosch, this unique country restaurant is part of a real farm where the diners enjoy all the good things of the country, including fresh produce from the farm gardens as well as L'Auberge du Paysan Pinotage from our very own surrounding vineyard.
