Hazendal

Set in the picturesque wine producing valley of the Bottelary Road, in Stellenbosch lies one of the oldest and most beautiful wine estates called Hazendal.

Dating back to 1699, Hazendal was purchased in 1994 by Dr. Mark Voloshin (Chairman of the International Marvol Group) who restored this historic property back to its former glory, forging a fascinating blend of Cape Dutch and Russian cultures.

An impressive `Hermitage` restaurant is at the heart of Hazendal. Joined by a glass wall to the wine cellar and spanned by a hand-painted vaulted ceiling, guests are in awe of their spectacular surroundings. Lunches are served both inside and outside in the adjoining courtyards. Picnics are popular in the summer season and morning teas are served in the surrounding gardens with splendid views overlooking the Stellenbosch mountains.

Nextdoor to the restaurant is the wine tasting center where you can sample Hazendal`s award wining wines. Apart from an unforgettable wine and gourmet experience, Hazendal offers conference facilities and caters for weddings and private functions. Hazendal also offers facilities for corporate entertainment.
