Race world class racing cars around world class race tracks in South Africa!!
This is the most nail-biting, heart-thumping, adrenalin-pumping, action-packed event you will ever attend!
Fantastic Racing hosts tailored racing event packages for individuals, corporate clients and international guests in Cape Town and Johannesburg. These involve racing world class racing cars at a choice of four tracks , including the F1 track at Kyalami, in Johannesburg , South Africa.
For the serious racers, Fantastic Racing also offer Arrive and Drive options where you can train and race along side the pros in the actual race season.
The event packages provide extensive safety briefings, after which you will learn how to drive and then race in single seater racing cars. The cars are branded with your own name and / or company logo and after you have scared yourself silly and had the most exciting time of your life, you will go home with memories in the form of a DVD holding a photographic record of your racing prowess.
At your Fantastic Racing Event, you will be driving authentic racing cars. Built by Reynard, who also constructed the original F1 Honda BAR cars, these were originally built for the feeder series to Champ cars in the US (think how GP2 is to F1).
The Reynard 98 has a full race configuration with a V6 Dodge engine (that are specially tuned so that they are safe for novices) that pulls 450 BHP/per tonne. Each car has a carbon fibre chassis and is built to FIA safety standards. This means they have safety standards similar to F1 cars.
Fantastic Racing holds its exciting racing events on four different race tracks:
Cape Town:
Fantastic Racing is based at Killarney in Cape Town. In 1960, Killarney’s 3.6km track hosted the F1 Cape Grand Prix. This is a great track that is ideal for novices and has a stunning view of Table Mountain.
Johannesburg:
Kyalami is a world class classic F1 race track with a wealth of motor sport history. It provides an amazing challenge that continues to test the skill of the world’s champion racing drivers.
WesBank is a modern racing centre with a choice of three tracks. The most challenging is a large banked oval circuit where racers experience the thrill of the fast straight before the tight section that leads into a vast flowing curve.
Zwartkops, sited at Midrand, between Johannesburg and Pretoria, this phenomenal Big ‘Z’ may be short on length, but not on racing challenge. It’s a real favourite!
We cater for individuals as well as groups and we set aside a couple of dates each month for individuals. If a group is interested it is easier to accommodate them. We only run events in the week and not on weekends (Sat/Sun).
The cost of the half day event is:
R4000 per driver ex VAT in Cape Town
R6000 ex VAT in Johannesburg
This includes equipment, training, catering, awards, photos and of course the driving.
