 | This webcam shows a fantastic view of Table Mountain from the upper cableway station. Table Mountain rises over a kilometre out of the ocean and is visible from 200 kilometres out to sea, on a clear day. The summit at Maclear's Beacon, its highest point, rises to a height of 1085m and is approximately 3km wide. There are over two kilometres of paths and numerous view sites on the summit. You can have a drink or meal at the Self Service Restaurant or the Cableway Cocktail Bar. The cat walk or Jager’s walk runs along the mountainside of Fish Hoek beach, takes the visitor as far as Sunny Cove where dolphins and whales can be viewed in season. The beach is equipped with a playground for children, a refreshment kiosk and restaurant. Fish hoek beach has a secure parking area and is great for swimming, snorkeling, hobie-cat sailing and paddle-skiing. Visitors can sometimes be treated to the sight of the local fishermen bringing in a catch the old fashioned way.
