This webcam is situated in Bloubergstrand which lies along the West coast of Table Bay 20-minute drive from Cape Town CBD. Blouberg beach offers wonderful view of the CBD and from here you can shoot the perfect postcard picture of Table Mountain(see webcam). Bloubergstrand offers long, sandy beaches frequented by dog walkers and kite flyers. The large crashing waves, supported by the regular strong southeaster winds of the Western Cape, makes Bloubergstrand one of the fastest and hottest places worldwide for windsurfing. Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, can be seen quite clearly from the Blouberg beach. The community is known for its natural beauty, youthful atmosphere and affordable accommodation and friendly people.
