Riverside Cottage

This self catering cottage is situated on the banks of the Berg River in Velddrif which is an hour and a half's drive (140 km) from Cape Town. The cottage is a historic house which has large private grounds, is cosy, basic and has plenty of off street parking and double lock up garage. The facilities include a two bedrooms en suite which sleeps 4 and an additional 2 persons with fold up divan. A large open plan dining room/kitchen/sitting room.

The grounds extend directly on to the river and the "Bokkom Laan" which is a strip of unspoilt fisherman's sheds, dinghies and jetties. It is a tranquil and unique position that allows one to have a braai and watch the birds. Other activities include fishing, swimming, canoeing or having a stroll. Flower season during August and September. We are also 2 minutes drive to the sea with long stretches of beach (for kilometres) and is also popular for fishing. You have everything at your doorstep.
