Tulbagh, is situated on Route 62 in a beautiful valley in the heart of the Cape Winelands and is only 120 kms north of Cape Town. The valley is surrounded by three mountain ranges that are often covered in snow during winter. Set in this magnificent landscape, Tulbagh is famous for its unspoiled natural beauty and peaceful country lifestyle.

The area was extensively damaged in a devastating earthquake in 1969 and many of the old buildings, of mostly Cape Dutch architecture, were all but destroyed. A huge national effort resulted in many of these buildings being restored to their former splendour. Tulbagh now boasts in excess of 30 national monuments. Visitors can stroll down Church Street and see the buildings as they were between 200 and 300 years ago. A number of museums in this historically significant town are worth a visit.Tulbagh boasts many excellent restaurants that cater to a wide range of tastes. Sampling the award winning wines at our internationally known wine estates is not to be missed.

We are well known for our outstanding breakfasts that are enjoyed in our sunny breakfast room. A guest lounge with television and our air-conditioned sports bar with pool table and other activities provide ample opportunity to meet other guests or the locals.
