Tulbagh is a picturesque town, characterized by splendid Cape Dutch architecture and magnificent scenery. An easy 80-minute drive north of Cape Town, it lies as the northern edge of the beautiful, fertile Breede River Valley and is surrounded on three sides by majestic mountains: the Obiqua Mountains to the west, the Wintershoek Range along the northern aspect, and the Witzenberg to the east - often covered in snow during the winter months. Great Winterhoek towers 2077m above sea level and is a challenge to serious hikers in Spring and Autumn.

The estate is planted with premium red cultivars. Which produces circa 100,000 bottles of superior wine per annum. Flagstone Wines presently takes the entire estate production for producing and exporting premium grade wine to exclusive outlets in Europe. Introduction of our own wine label will commence shortly.

Accommodation at Morgansvlei is of international deluxe standard and comprises 11 spacious double cottages. Each has a private patio with stunning views of the dam, mountains and vineyards; an open fireplace and TV; a Victorian-styled bathroom; and a fully equipped self-catering unit. For the added pleasure of guests there is a swimming pool and covered braai and entertaining area.
