Mountain Magic Garden Suites

The Mountain Magic Garden Suites are a collection of three self catering apartments set in a lovely, quiet garden with great views of Table Mountain, the bay and the city bowl, right in the heart of the ’10 minute’ suburb of Tamboerskloof (so called because you’re a maximum of ten minutes by car from all the major attractions of central Cape Town). There is a large pool in the grounds (with superb views of the mountain) and we border on a large grassy meadow, which is perfect for exercise and relaxation. The house is situated at the end of a private dead-end street where we have very few passers-by, so our suites are private and secure. We are within walking distance of Kloof Street and Long Street’s restaurants, bars, cafes and shops though the return journey is uphill. We’re family friendly and we live on site in our own house, so we're always on hand should you need us.

Each suite has either a private-use balcony or patio or garden (some have all three) and are serviced on every weekday. You can do your own laundry or our staff can also do personal laundry for a small fee. Each suite has cable television with a good range of international channels and also private shower room. We have barbecue facilities and outside dining areas and each suite is equipped with a basic kitchen area and fridge. The suites are all equipped with a free WiFi LAN and though we are self catering, we do provide complimentary continental breakfast supplies for your first morning.

BAY LIGHTS STUDIO: This is one of our most popular suites, probably because of the spectacular views from your bed and from your balcony! This completely open plan studio features a bedroom area which can be fitted with king-size or twin single beds. There is also a kitchen area and dining area with a double sleeper couch in the lounge, plus an en-suite shower room and a scenic balcony large enough to breakfast and relax on. The suite can sleep two adults very comfortably (or two adults and a child comfortably). You access the apartment via a 10 step external staircase

PALM GARDEN SUITE: This is our large open plan studio suite on the ground floor and is popular with families or groups of three or more. It has its own balcony overlooking a patio garden, with breakfast table and picnic table. It has some views of Table Mountain from your balcony and from the bedroom and also a glimpse of the Bay from your balcony. The apartment can be fitted with king-size or twin single beds. There is a double sleeper couch in the lounge as well as a kitchen area, a four seater dining table/work area and en-suite shower room. This is a semi open - plan suite so the bedroom is not completely separated from the lounge.

MOUNTAIN MAGIC SUITE: Our two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of the main house has wonderful mountain views from the main bedroom. Each bedroom has a double bed, and a fitted wardrobe. There is a double sleeper couch in the lounge with futon-style mattress, also a four seater dining table/work area, TV and a well equipped kitchen area, as well as an en-suite shower room. The suite opens directly on to your patio (with garden furniture and family sized Weber braai/barbeque) and to the tranquil garden with direct access to the swimming pool. It is large enough to sleep four adults comfortably. It is not open plan and so there is plenty of privacy between the bedrooms and lounge area.
