A charming Victorian home built at the turn of the century situated just below Table Mountain and Lion's Head in the green and quiet residential area of Tamboerskloof.

The Guesthouse lies within easy walking distance of trendy and vibrant Kloof and Long Street with their many shops and restaurants, internet cafes and cinemas as well as to the city centre. We are close to the Cableway, V&A Waterfront, the Convention Centre, Atlantic beaches and with easy access to the major highways and airport.

Eight en-suite bedrooms tastefully appointed, offering comfort with LCD flat-screens (DStv) and private telephones. French-doors open onto a small patio and the romantic courtyard with citrus- and olive-trees.

Breakfast is served in the stylish dining room with its large veranda overlooking the exotic garden with leafy plants and palm leafs trailing above the sparkling blue water of the swimming pool. Gleaming Oregon floors, genuine antiques, original artwork in the communal areas create a feeling of privacy and warm hospitality. "The place was clean, the pool area looked fine and the dining facilities pleasant but I didn't have time to use them. My room lacked any welcoming atmosphere -clean and tidy but pretty bare, nothing to sit on other than the bed and an old worn dining chair in a corner. There was no carpet on the wooden floor - not even next to the bed. Two lights did not work, a cupboard door handle was loose, and while a seperate tea and coffee facility was available, there was nothing in the room. To add insult to injury, (after cycling the Argus) there was no beer in the honesty bar. No better than a mediocre average I am afraid."

DIRECTIONS: Directions from Airport / N2
1. From the Airport, follow N2 freeway toward the City (do not take Muizenberg direction) until you see signs for the M3 freeway (Cableway). Stay in the left lane. Follow the M3 towards the City.
2. Take the Mill Street (Jutland Avenue) off-ramp (it also shows signs to Table Mountain Cable Car. Look for large graffiti on the left hand wall before you turn off). Jutland Avenue becomes Mill Street.
3. On your left side, you will pass the Gardens Shopping Centre with Pick ‘n Pay, then a bit further on the entrance to the Mount Nelson Hotel and the Labia Cinema
4. Mill Street becomes Buitensingel Street. At the T-junction with Buitengracht street, turn left and follow the signs to the cableway. Buitengracht street becomes New Church Street (one way) and then Kloof Nek Road.
5. Drive along Kloof Nek Road until you reach Gilmour Hill Road (3rd on your right after the robots). Follow the road and turn right at Brownlow road (2nd road). Mediterranean Villa is the right hand corner property and clearly marked with its logo.
Directions from N1
1. Proceed South west on the N1 to the first set of traffic lights you encounter which is the City / Sea point / Waterfront intersection.
2. When you reach this first set of traffic lights, you are facing Table Mountain with the Waterfront entrance on your right. This is the start of Buitengracht Street (M62).
3. 3. Drive up Buitengracht street (M62) direction Camps Bay and Table Mountain and Cable Car Station.
4. Buitengracht Street becomes New Church Street (one way) towards the Mountain and then the Kloof Nek Road.
5. Drive along Kloof Nek Road until you reach Gilmour Hill Road (3rd on your right after the robots). Follow the road and turn right at Brownlow road (2nd road). Mediterranean Villa is the right hand corner property and clearly marked with its logo.
