Privacy is the greatest luxury, and one which there is plenty of at The Beautiful West guest house. This 4200m˛ property houses, one of the old original buildings in the Somerset West area - the main house being called Casa Sereno which was built in 1923. Beautiful recent renovations to the original manor were managed to ensure that the original colonial Cape Dutch air would not be lost. Accessories and other luxury, including the super large swimming pool situated in a lush garden, provides the tranquil setting for a beautiful holiday in the heart of the Cape’s Winelands.

While the outside is all rustic, Cape Dutch house, the emphasis inside is on style, modernity and function: clean lines, natural materials, modern fittings in bathrooms and high-quality orthopedic beds. Some rooms have view of the mountains but all rooms have the own private terraces, both shower and bath.

The Beautiful West Guesthouse has eight spacious rooms, all of which are en-suite, all with private entrances and wide terraces. The rooms have been elegantly decoratedin a modern colonial Cape Dutch style, with great sliding doors affording views of the breathtaking garden, pool and countryside, allowing maximum enjoyment of the great South African weather.

DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town or the Airport
1.
From Cape Town or Cape Town International Airport, take the N2 Highway in the direction of Stellenbosch/Somerset West.
2.
Continue on the N2 until EXIT 43, the sign says R44, Stellenbosch and Broadway Blvd. Take into consideration that most street names are down on the curbs!
3.
Turn left towards Stellenbosch and R44; continue on R44 up to the first traffic light (Main Road) where you turn right towards Somerset West.
4.
Continue up to the next traffic light, (Helderberg College Road) and turn left. Continue up the hill and pass a 4-way stop. Approx 300 meters after the 4-way stop you will have number 136 Helderberg College Road on your right hand side. The sign will say "Somerset West Guesthouse".
5.
Drive into the gravel road up to the gate. You have arrived at our very special Guesthouse - Welcome!

Call us on the intercom so we can let you in.
From Stellenbosch
1.
From Stellenbosch you drive south on R44 towards Somerset West and Strand.
2.
Approx 14 km from Stellenbosch you will reach Somerset West. And right after you pass the 80 km/h sign you turn left into “The Old Stellenbosch Road”. The sign also reads “Helderberg Estate”. Take into consideration that most street signs are down on the curbs!
3.
Drive on up to a small circle and drive right through it until you reach a 4-way stop.
4.
At the 4-way stop you turn left on to “Helderberg College Road”. Approx 300 meters after the 4-way stop you will have number 136 Helderberg College Road on your right side. The sign will say “Somerset West Guesthouse”.
5.
Drive into the gravel road up to the gate. You have arrived at our very special Guesthouse - Welcome!
