The Helderberg Forest Lodge is located on the slopes of the Helderberg in Somerset West. Our lovely guest Lodge exudes with charm and set in the midst the Western Cape close to Cape Town. Tourists and golfers alike have been enchanted by our hotel. We are at the heart of the wine country and next to the Helderberg Nature Reserve.
The accommodation at Helderberg Forest Lodge consist of 8 lodges, each built on 7,500 sq. m. of beautiful landscaped gardens with lush forests and wonderful mountain scenery all around. The elegant main house features the reception area, lounge with fireplace, bar and the breakfast restaurant. . The lodges are stylishly appointed and have air-conditioning, mini bar, telephone, safe and satellite TV. The bathrooms are all en-suite and have showers, baths and hairdryers. Sun patios accompany the lodges with views of the beautiful garden.
We also have four two-room apartments with tasteful furnishings and have bed and living rooms with built-in kitchens, large en-suite bathroom and terrace with a view of the Helderberg Mountain. All the apartments also have air-conditioning, telephones, mini-bars, safes and satellite TVs. The expansive bathroom features a bidet, walk-in shower, bath and hairdryer.
Helderberg Forest Lodge invites you for a round of golf. It is the main sport in the area and excellent courses like Erinvale, Spier, Stellenbosch and Strand abound and are just minutes away by car. Other sports like tennis, horse riding and water sports are also available and we will gladly provide arrangement.
Traverse the sweetness as Helderberg is directly on the wine route. World renowned wine farms such as Vergelegen, Boschendal, Neethlingshof and Nedernburg invite you to have a taste of their fabulous wines. The lovely towns of Stellenbisch and Franschboek nearby provide a glimpse of the charmed life. A large nature reserve at the area is perfect for nature walks and cruising on the coastal road to Cape Town in just 35 minutes may allow the viewing of the famed Cape whales. You can also travel the road to Cape Point and see the lovely penguins at Boulders.
