Ongegund, also known as Myrtle farm, with fantastic views of the Helderberg Mountains and False Bay is a little paradise of its own, which is only 50km from Cape Town, and also easily accessible to many of the Western Cape tourist attractions.

We offer our guests luxurious and modern facilities in the main building which dates back to 1790 as well as accommodation with en-suite double or single rooms, a magnificent en-suite honeymoon suite, family rooms and self-catering units.

The old wine cellars that date from 1820 has been transformed into a stunning two level conferance centre which can comfortably host 180 guest and is suitable for all types of conference setups. It is an ideal place where professional persons can gather for team building, working sessions or conferences.

There is also a reception area of a 100 sq. meters for more personal functions and an outside courtyard area with a private bar and restroom facilities. This area is suitable for 200 guests and is absolutely perfect for wedding ceremonies, special occasions and marquee events.

The breathtaking gardens and picturesque background is an ideal place for the taking of photographs for those lifetime memories. The farm and lodge has the makings of an ideal holiday, with its comfortable en-suite rooms and many choices for recreation and outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, horse riding, golf and many more, or to just enjoy your stay relaxating in the peace and tranquility of the valley.
