Rondebosch
Rondebosch is situated in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town about 15 minutes from the CBD. Although not situated at the sea, Rondebosch is a very popular residential area because it is relatively well protected from the wind, very green and cosmopolitan.
Rondebosch has excellent restaurants, coffee-shops,shopping centers and hospitals - and the best schools for the kids. The University of Cape Town is also found here. Attractions, in the area include the Irma Stern Museum and Mostert's Mill in Mowbray, the Baxter Theatre in Rosebank, the Rugby Museum and the South African Brewery in Newlands. Rondebosch Craft Market is held under the beautiful old trees of Rondebosch Park with different homemade products from pottery, frames, wrought, ironwork to pickles and preserves. Rondebosch borders on Newlands where you will find the Ohlssons' Cape Breweries. Tours are conducted daily .It is close to Newlands rugby stadium.
