ACCOMMODATION:
The Hotel: No comfort has been spared in appointing and equipping the hotel's twenty-two individually decorated rooms. Each a living statement of simple elegance, the guest rooms are furnished in fabrics of the finest quality and feature Victorian and African furniture. All rooms are equipped with telephone, television, tea and coffee making facilities and individually controlled air-conditioning.
The Manor House: Decorated in individually selected fabrics and handcrafted furnishings, the nine rooms in the Manor House are a reflection of refinement and understated elegance. A particular feature of all the rooms is their extremely spacious en-suite bathrooms with under-floor heating.
FACILITIES:
In the Manor House, plump sofas and armchairs invite one to lean back and relax in a luxurious yet homely atmosphere. Double volume ceilings allow for a sense of space and light throughout the Manor House public areas. On warm summer days, enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool or bask by the poolside on a reclining lounger. Snacks, light meals and beverages are served throughout the day and garden or pool service is readily available upon request.
A special feature is the beautifully laid out gardens. The front of the manor is flanked by majestic oak trees, the veranda looks down onto a manicured rose garden in Victorian style and a classic water feature. Quiet seating areas are dotted in various locations in the gardens: here guests can relax with a book or newspaper, enjoy a peaceful moment of contemplation or a cosy chat, or order beverages to be served in the gardens.
CONFERENCES:
Well-equipped meeting facilities for up to 45 participants are offered in the Conference Room, whilst the Board Room adjacent to the restaurant accommodates up to 30 delegates. Both venues have daylight but can also be darkened for visual presentations and each offers a private patio and garden access for breaks.
DINING:
The award-winning "Restaurant at Pontac" is located in the beautifully restored old barn of this historic estate. The setting on the slopes of Paarl Rock is exceptional. Patrons dine al fresco on a white-washed patio with a unique view and the relaxing burble of the Koi pond, or inside in a restaurant decorated in the Cape Vernacular style, with bricked-in chicken nests, antique window frames with deep-set ledges and original stone fireplaces. The ambience is delightfully informal with the accent on country hospitality, offset by elegant tableware and professional service.
Guests can take a seat in The Cafi Du Pontac which is situated in the Manor House or on the veranda where you can gaze across the lawn to the majestic mountains beyond. The menu in the cafi ofers a range of tasty light meals, special coffee's and delectable desserts.
In the afternoon's you can vsit Dukes Bar at Pontac where you can order from a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The dicor is Afro-chic and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. . In winter, the huge indoor fireplace is a cosy congregation point, for local and international guests alike.

Pontac Manor is situated in a quiet side street, just off the main road in the centre of Paarl, within walking distance of a number of interesting shops (art gallery, antique shops, jewellery design studio, interior design studio, gift shops, etc.), restaurants and coffee shops, banks, the tourist information centre and most tourist attractions.
