Appaloosa Horse Farm and Country Retreat

Appaloosa Horse Farm & Country Retreat is set at the boundary of the Noordhoek wetland nature conservation where, among other birds, the African Black Oyster Catcher breeds. With perfect panorama views of the Noordhoek amphitheater and close to 8km of sandy beach with perfect sunsets, it is surrounded by nothing but paddocks. The beach, known as Long Beach, stretches for 8km of pristine white sand - meeting up with Kommetjie beach. The latter is the home playground for a lot of South Africa's top surfers. On two acres, our property offers secure and shaded parking, a pool surrounded by vast lawns, and lots of privacy and peace.

Mountain hiking up Chapman's Peak and/or through Silvermine Nature Reserve offers an accessible wilderness experience with spectacular views over the South Peninsula. Numerous other scenic walks and trails. Horse Riding on Noordhoek beach is very popular as well as surfing and boogie boarding. Whales, dolphins and seals are common to see while walking or jogging on the beach. Noordhoek Farm Village provides the visitor with endless hours of shopping. The coffee shop, 3 restaurants and a pub provide the visitor with something to eat and drink, while the farm stall offers freshly grown organic vegetables and home made bread and other bakery.
