we arrived late aftrenoon afetr a long hot trip through the sweltering Great Karoo. It was great to walk into our cool and clean twin room. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort - The Bethesda Towers runs a local arts and crafts charit programme and all funds from the establishment's rooms and restaurant are donated to the charity project which uplifts the local community of previously disadvantaged people – and I think its a very well run establishmengt considering its basically a NPO. Our breakfast the follwing morning was simple but enjoyable - epecially the experience of sitting in the beautiful courtyard which is secluded from the street and populated by various bird species - two of which were attracted to our table to ceheck out what was for breakfast.
