Situated on the Cape West Coast of South Africa, Jacobsbaai is a quiet seaside village, sometimes referred to as the "Namaqualand" of the West Coast. A mere 145km (1 and a half hours drive) from Cape Town, 20km from Paternoster, Langebaan around the bend and Saldanha next door, it is centrally situated to explore the breathtaking West Coast region and attractions.
Jacobsbaai has a hidden gem named "Moerie se baai". (Moerie's bay). This secluded tidal pool offers protection from the often stormy Atlantic Ocean and this is where you will find the Boat House. Where you can swim in the Atlantic ocean at high tide in luke warm water! Where you can stroll down to the beach, a mere 50m away. Where you sit and wait for low tide to catch fresh crayfish to be enjoyed with a glass of white wine from the area. The Boat House is a an romantic spot for two in an open plan loft, under the thatched roof of one of the holiday homes.
Accommodation consists of a double bed (linen and towels provided), full bathroom, kitchenette equipped with two plate stove, convection microwave, kettle and toaster. A colour TV and DVD player, a private entrance and a sundeck with a table and chairs from where you can enjoy the sea views and dramatic sunsets over the ocean complete the picture. Braai(barbecue) facilities can be provided on request.
