This picturesque village has an unspoilt coastline of about 2km with quaint white fisherman's cottages, which add their charm to what has been referred to as "Namaqualand by the Sea" due to the region's flower extravaganza in spring.

Baviana Beach Lodge comprises of 4 x 1 bedroom apartments - seafront with either sea views or garden views.

Baviana Holiday Houses comprise of 2 x 2 bedroom houses - 850m away from the sea, not seafront with beautiful sea views.

ACTIVITIES

Jacobsbaai is a fisherman's haven with the azure Atlantic Ocean providing an abundance of seafood like crayfish, hottentot, galjoen, white steenbras and black mussels.

The area offers spectacular hiking along the scenic coastline. Nature walks, bird watching and the multiflower extravaganza during spring are all part of the West Coast experience.

Golf, sailing, deep-sea fishing, underwater diving, horse riding, organised boat trips and romantic sunset cruises can be arranged. Other activities in the area include windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.

The Cape West Coast is a unique region, most famous for its beautiful scenery, seafood, bird life, wines and friendly locals.

DIRECTIONS TO BAVIANA BEACH LODGE ( the 1 bedroom units )

• Take the R27 from Cape Town along the West Coast.

• Travel 6 kilometres past the Langebaan turn-off, take a left turn at the Saldanha turn-off.

• Drive past Saldanha Steel and the Saldanha Airport.

• Cross over the Vredenburg-Saldanha road and continue straight on to Jacobsbaai.

• Once in Jacobsbaai, turn first road left, carry on over two stop streets.

• Turn right into Mauritz Road, carry on over 3 speed bumps and turn right into Baviaantjie Bend. Red roof building.
