The King's Place

The King's Place is a small holding set on 8 acres of prime agricultural land in the lush seaside valley of Hout Bay, Cape Town. It is a working farm. We have a wholesale nursery where we grow a variety of plants both in green houses and in the fields. We have a small free range chicken farm whereby we only sell the eggs! The property has beautiful equestrian facilities where stables are fit for a King. We stable up to 12 horses.

There are 2 beautiful large swimming pools and a tennis court.

Hout Bay is a very popular holiday destination as it is very central. A magnificent 20 minutes drive to Cape Town along the coast and 10 minutes from Constantia's wine route. It has a magnificent beach and a variety of restaurants and shops.

Hout Bay has one of the busiest harbours in the Western Cape with an established tuna, snoek and crayfish industry. The harbour is home to the Hout Bay Yacht Club, sunset champagne cruises to the V&A Waterfront, boat trips to Seal Island in a glass-bottomed boat and several restaurants.

Hout Bay is surrounded by mountains to the North, East and West and the Southern Atlantic Ocean to the South.

In the North it is bordered by the Table Mountain National Park, to the North-West the backside of the Twelve Apostles (Orangekloof ), Little Lion's Head (Klein Leeukop) where we also find "Suikerbossie" (known as the toughest hill on the Cape Argus Cycle Race, Karbonkelberg , and the Sentinel and to the East the Vlakkenberg and Constantiaberg.

The kilometre-long white sandy beach is a 5 minute drive from The King's Place, with the world-famous Chapman's Peak and the Sentinel opening the gateway to the Atlantic Ocean ...

Valley House 1 (sleeps up to 12 guests):

Valley House 1 and 2 (sleeps up to 20 guests):

Opens into a beautiful, spacious and sunny home, 8 Bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, A spacious fully equipped kitchen, A passage area with bunk beds (ideal for 2 children), A large open plan dining room and lounge, BBQ area, pool and tennis court.

The King's Apartment (sleeps 4 guests) it's up a flight of stairs:

2 Bedrooms, 1 large full bathroom, An open plan kitchen and lounge with sliding doors that open onto the balcony and overlook the pool and mountains.

The King's Cottage is ideal for a couple. It is tucked away and completely private:

1 Bedroom and an en-suite bathroom (shower, basin and toilet), An open plan kitchen and lounge, Private terrace and BBQ area.
