Sunbird Mountain Retreat Guest House is isolated from the humdrum of life, offering escapism, yet it is a stones throw away from major attractions of the Peninsula, superb restaurants & numerous beaches.

Sunbird Mountain B&B rooms are spacious and finely furnished with attention to detail & comfort. Three upstairs double rooms with en suite bathrooms are furnished in pale wood & tranquil colours, offering tea & coffee facilities, telephone & internet connectivity, TV & heated towel rails. Adjoining each room are specially designed private opening balconies with comfortable recliners for enjoying the magnificent mountain and forest views or just basking in the oasis of peace & tranquillity.

From the downstairs family room, consisting of 2 adjoining double rooms, stable doors open onto a paved area & from here it is a short walk to the pool or onto the mountain side. We boast a relaxing, warm & inviting lounge & courtesy bar, which during the winter months is kept warm with a blazing fire adding to the ambience.

Scrumptious breakfasts are full & hearty made by Ken taking into consideration your particular requirements & served in our colourful dining area or on the patio under the trees. The ground floor unit opens onto lush green lawn, with a sensation of space created by the not too distant "ring of mountains". Our upstairs units sport unimpaired mountain & forest views. All self catering units have a spacious, restful yet colourful feel, with themes taken from nature.

There are numerous paths for walking or jogging and for the more adventurous the mountain beckons, with its varied indigenous flora. Relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the forest from our Koi fishpond or bathe in the shadows of the surrounding mountains. There are numerous outside sitting areas for sundowners, braaing, relaxing & meditation. Escape to Peace and Tranquillity in our forested mountain paradise, surrounded by the Table Mountain Reserve..
