Hout Bay is a charming fishing village nestled in a tranquil, picturesque valley between the Chapman's Peak and the Sentinel mountains. It has much to offer, including safe swimming, sea kayaking, surfing, whale-watching, hiking trails, horse-riding, boat trips to Seal Island, moonlight cruises, Mariners Wharf (South Africa's first harbour front emporium) and The World of Birds (a world famous sanctuary). DIRECTIONS:
From Cape Town International Airport:
From the Cape Town airport take the N2 towards Cape Town. Take the M3 exit towards Muizenberg. From the M3 turn right at the first traffic lights onto the M63, direction Hout Bay and Kirstenbosch botanical gardens. The M63 will bring you over Constantia Neck down into the Hout Bay Valley. At the first traffic circle continue straight. At the second traffic circle take a right turn into Princess Street. Princess Beach Apartments will be immediately on your right.
From central Cape Town:
From Cape Town head towards Camps Bay. Proceed through Camps Bay towards Llandudno / Hout Bay on the M6 (this is the coastal road). Stay on the M6 into Hout Bay. At the traffic lights go straight towards the Harbour along Victoria Road. At the traffic circle turn left into Princess Street. Princess Beach Apartments are approximately 200m along on the left hand side.
