Poplar Tree Lodge

Nestled against the mountainside in a quiet cul de sac in a lovely part of Hout Bay, Poplar Tree Lodge offers fully equipped, luxurious self-catering accommodation and boasts wonderful views of Hout Bay valley. The Lodge has attractive gardens, with a patio, communal pool and sun deck - perfect for a lazy sundowner in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Situated in the charming village of Hout Bay, Poplar Tree Lodge is under 5 minutes drive from a wide range of restaurants, shops and banks as well as the beach and a busy fishing harbour. It is ideally located to explore the Cape Peninsular via Chapman's Peak Drive, go wine tasting along the Constantia Wine Route or experience the world-class restaurants and cosmopolitan night life of Camps Bay and Cape Town city.

Each of our four suites (Garden, Tree Top, Valley View and Studio) has a full bathroom, a kitchenette, satellite TV, a DVD/CD player, wi-fi internet access access (no charge), a safe, and a BBQ - plus there is secure on-site parking. All suites are serviced daily excluding Sundays and public holidays. Valley View and Garden sleep 2/3 people comfortably and 4 people maximum each whilst Tree Top and Studio sleep 2 people each.

All guests have full use of the patio, pool and sundeck. The lodge is on the side of the bay that enjoys the afternoon sun so we often enjoy beautiful & colourful sunsets.

A Continental breakfast can be served as an optional extra either on the patio (weather permitting) or in your suite.

TREE TOP SUITE - Kingsize 4 poster bed in bedroom, bathroom with corner bath & separate glass shower cubicle and fully equipped kitchen/diner complete with table & wicker chairs. There is satellite Tvchannels, a DVD/CD player, wi - fi access etc The suite opens onto a large private deck with stunning views.

GARDEN SUITE - Bedroom with double bed or twin beds, bathroom with bath & separate shower & good size living area with fully equipped kitchenette to one end plus small dining table & chairs and to the other end day bed (with proper mattress), sofa bed, TV, DVD/CD player, wi-fi access etc. This suite opens directly onto its own verandah and garden and has its own small entrance gate within the secure property.

VALLEY VIEW SUITE - bedroom with double bed, bathroom with bath & separate glass shower cubcile & good size living area with fully equipped kitchenette to one end plus small dining table & chairs and to the other end day bed (with proper mattress), sofa bed, TV, DVD/CD player, wi-fi access etc. A lovely light and bright suite.

STUDIO SUITE - our economy suite (but still perfectly good) with a double or twin beds, a small table & wicker chairs, TV, DVD/CD player, wi-fi access and en suite bathroom (shower above the bath). The suite has a wall of windows that open onto a paved patio & the tiered gardens at the back of the lodge.
