Vermont is situated between mountain and the ocean, affording an ideal climate. From the apartment enjoy a spectacular mountain view almost right next to you. Here you have a lovely retreat far from the maddening crowd of big cities. A place to dream, spoil yourself, and rejuvenate. Our guests come here to experience warm, friendly hospitality and of course, a great stay in a naturally beautiful environment.
The apartment is on the ground floor, has it's own huge private garden, an outdoor seating area shaded by the palm tree, as well as a barbecue and 2nd outdoor seating area enclosed in a typical South African enclosure called a 'Lapa'. It affords a very cosy, private area used mainly in the evenings for a get together and supper around the fire. Cushions, tablecloth all provided for your comfort.
The inside of the unit is fully equipped with tv, radio, bed linen, towels, cutlery, crockery, pots, placemats, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle. The bathroom is a good size, and has bath as well as large shower. Washing machine, clothes dryer and fan are shared facilities. The romantic outdoor shower is not to be missed. The dining room seats 6 people and from there take a walk into the garden. Living area has a sleeper couch. A camping stretcher can be used as an extra sleeping facility (optional extra).
The ocean is 500m away and easily accessed. The fabulous and famous cliff walking paths are located all along the ocean side, and stretch from Vermont to the centre in Hermanus. The paths are dotted with benches as resting places and have an abundance of indigenous flora and fauna to be admired for their exquisite form, colour and hardiness.
Breakfast Bay beach is the closest, it is a great picnic spot, with a sheltered beach. Onrus beach, good for surfing and body-surfing is in the neighbouring suburb. It's magnificent to visit onrus beach at sunset- anything between 6pm and 8.30pm, depending on the season, sit on the rocks, enjoy the ocean, the champagne air and a wonderful sunset. There are two blue flag beaches in Hermanus, Kammabaai and Grotto, both well worth a visit.
