This luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation offers peace and tranquility and is situated within walking distance of restaurants, old harbour, shops and golf course.

Accommodation consists of 4 double bedrooms, all en-suite and with colour TV, a large guest lounge, a breakfast room, a card phone in the lobby, salt water swimming pool and a large garden.

The picturesque cliff path, for which Hermanus is well known, stretches for 12km along the Walker Bay coastline and can be reached 400 meters from "Hortensia Lodge". From this footpath whales (June-November), seals, dolphins, sea-birds, rockrabbits, fynbos (our indigenous flora) - and many nectar loving birds can be seen. There are many benches inviting the walker to rest a while and enjoy the splendid views of mountains and ocean.

Hermanus is one of the finest seaside villages in the Cape and has a lot to offer. The very scenic combination of mountains and ocean, the many rocky inlets and small secluded beaches are a dream for any photographer. The fynbos and bird life reserves and hiking trails, the 6km long Klein river lagoon, ideal for boating and fishing, and white beaches stretching for 20km towards Danger Point Lighthouse are paradise for the nature lover.
