Farm 215

Farm 215 is a nature retreat in the heart of the Southern Overberg an hour and a half drive from Cape Town. 215 offers guest house and self catering accommodation. Gansbaai is 16 km away. The nature retreat is 8 km from Baardskeerdersbos and 15 km from Walker Bay. The 800 hectares of farm 215 are covered by different fynbos-habitats and scarred by forested "kloofs" of up to a 100 metres deep. The nature retreat of farm 215 offers self catering accommodation in an oversized restored cottage from the 19th century "Ou-huis" and in an old renovated farmhouse, situated in the pristine and isolated Koudeberg Valley (the "Koudeberghouse").

The guesthouse of farm 215, situated on top of a hill overlooking the ocean beyond the Agulhas Plains to the South and the vineyards and hills surrounding Gansbaai and the Kraaiboschdam to the West.

The self catering accommodation on farm 215 is suitable for summer and winter. Both the "Ou-huis" cottage and the Koudeberghouse have large covered "stoeps" with an outside braai place, a lounge with a fireplace and a kitchen with a woodstove (and electrical stove as well). Both have large kitchens to allow space for big dining tables. Duvets pillows, cotton linen and towels are provided.

Self catering cottage / "Ou-huis" This self catering cottage is 600 meters down from the guesthouse but cannot be seen from there. This large cottage sleeps 6 and has 3 bedrooms. The cottage has views over the mountains behind Gansbaai and De Kelders , the ocean beyond the Agulhas plains and the hills of the Baardskeerdersbos valley.

Self catering farmhouse / Koudeberghouse: This renovated self catering house can be reached by a 5 km dirt road-drive from the guesthouse of farm 215. It faces North-West and is protected from the South Easter by cliffs towering up at the back of the house. Adult trees circumvent the house and the views from the accommodation carry on to the mountains behind Gansbaai and the peaks of the Klein River Mountains on the other side of the Walker Bay.
