Sea Point, a pedestrianized shopping area with its rocky lined shore is only a five-minute drive down the road and Table Mountain and the V & A Waterfront is extremely close by.
One of the many striking features of this villa is the unexpected view upon entering, from the plush serene front entrance; guests are welcomed by a clear view of the sea as far as the Table Bay lighthouse, Sea Point and the city centre just next-door. Solid beige painted graceful columns and a floating staircase accentuate the spacious, open plan character of this home and a wide passageway on the left and the right leads to the living areas with an exquisite blend of décor choices.
The living area exudes a warm and charming atmosphere with a varnished stone floor and luxurious beige curtains along glass sliding doors that open up on to a vast outdoor terrace, a large dark wood coffee table, an antique trunk and a great decorative antique grandfather clock that makes a bold statement in this modern setting and enjoy the ambiance set by a large fireplace and the heat it generates while relaxing on a beige L-shaped long sofa with ethnic patterned scatter cushions. A relaxing mood is created in the dining area with a dark wood polished floor, a stylish, unpretentious square shaped table with eight textured wicker chairs, a matching smaller table, a long server and cabinets the table can also be easily turned into a 12-seater table for easy entertainment.
A weightless, fully equipped stainless steel, minimalist designed kitchen is positioned behind the dining area where cooking is a pleasure with efficient granite working space, abundant patterned dark wood and frosted glass cabinetry, a serving/eating surface and an American style fridge and freezer. An adjoining laundry room features matching cupboards to the kitchen. The entire living area has glass sliding doors to the swimming pool and overlooks slender palms and the vast view.
Available is a study with two custom-made wooden desks with silver handles, matching large cabinets, fitted wall shelves and two chairs that leads out to a clever tranquil bamboo-framed area with soft gentle plants, beautiful mosaic walling and a built in seat creating a lovely view from within the house. To the left of the study, through louver doors, is a cinema room with a brown suede sofa and ottomans, a low dark wood table and a fitted cabinet.
The villas four beautiful, appealing bedrooms are en suite with comfortable beds and layered in luxurious linen to slip into. Bedroom one is positioned ahead of the study with glass sliding doors to the Meditative Garden, fitted beige wardrobes and drawers, a wall television, white linen and Moroccan bed wear. The bathroom has a big vanity area with a round washbasin, dark wooden shelving below, an oval shaped bathtub and a large open shower.
Up a polished stone curved staircase, with spotlights along the bottom and chandeliers from the top with a glass skylight high above, are three large carpeted bedrooms en suite with fitted dark wood wardrobes and a television. Bedroom two has twin beds, wood and glass wall shelves and glass sliding doors that look over the little outdoor garden and the ocean ahead. Bedroom three has a Queen size wooden custom bed, a suede sofa, a dark wood desk, an armchair upholstered in red corduroy and dark wood wall cupboards and shelves. Bedroom four is massive with a King-size extra length bed with a light suede headboard, two sofa chairs with rests, a television cabinet, a window that faces Lions Head, glass sliding doors to another outdoor patio and a walk in closet with fitted dark wood wardrobes and shelves.
All three bathrooms have large windows that either, face the Atlantic Ocean, Sea Point or the Table Bay Harbour. Bathrooms two and three are tiled with a separate glass shower curved bath and dark wood cupboards. Bathroom four has his and hers washbasins, a walk in shower that doubles as steam-room, with a mosaic seat and a big round Bathtub/Jacuzzi with views of the Ocean.
The smooth polished outdoor terrace is the perfect place to relax when the seabirds wheel and weave through the early morning mist and when one stretches out on chairs to enjoy another sunset with an ice cold bottle of wine at the ready. Protected from the occasional unpredictable elements, sheltered patio area next to the pool is suitable for pre dinner drinks, outdoor dining and entertaining with its fair share of space around the house. It consists of dark brown weaved L-shaped sofa, two large square chairs, two box shaped tables, a dark wood table and four wicker chairs and a gas barbeque. An archway, beige painted columns and an ornate wall mirror and huge oriental pots with cycads create a Moroccan aesthetic and add to the beautiful outdoor atmosphere. The rectangular shaped Salt Water Swimming Pool is framed in mosaic and extends to the edge of the balcony.
