5 Hanover Road Guest House

Built in 1835, the house is one of the oldest in Fresnaye. Like most houses of that period, the insulation affords warmth in winter and coolness in summer. It is a small, charming double story with views over Lion’s Head and Signal Hill. It is situated in a quiet one way in the Avenues. Cape Town is a wonderful place to visit and 5 Hanover Road is your home from which to explore. We look forward to welcoming you.

The beach promenade is 5 minutes walk as are shops, supermarkets, deli's, restaurants and the beach. The Olympic public pool is also an easy walk from the house. Breakfast is served mainly in the courtyard and inside depending on the weather. Coffee and teas are available for you to help yourself at any time and are complimentary. There is an honesty bar that is well stocked and reasonably priced which is also available for you at all times.

We wish you to feel at home and you can also make yourself a sandwich or snack from the fridge. Each room has a hairdryer, adaptor, beach towels, a ceiling fan and a verandah. There is free wireless internet. With 15 years in the tourist industry, we can offer good advice regarding airport transfers, taxis guided tours, safaris and day trips around the peninsula. We can also suggest the best restaurants and clubs to visit. We will make the necessary reservations for you if you wish.
