The Franschhoek

In keeping with The Last Word Resort Residence concept, The Franschhoek is a luxurious dream home that offers five-star comfort, privacy, tranquility and personal security in the Cape Winelands. The Franschhoek has been designed with sumptuous home comforts, creating an elegant, sophisticated interior with a handsome mixture of classic and contemporary furnishings.

There are six luxurious double rooms, which open onto a small shaded gardens or patios. They are decorated according to one of three themes.

Rooms 3 & 5

Silks, velvet and suede in shades of cream and ivory give a luxurious tone to the rooms, which is complimented by a chaise lounge and faux fur throw.

Rooms 1 & 6

And in the Paisley rooms, more velvets and silks blend effortlessly with paisley fabrics, mirrors framed with chrome and just a hint of Africa - faux Ostrich-hide headboard.

Rooms 2 & 4

In the Blue rooms, traditional rose patterns and dark mahogany have been combined with silk cushions and bead details giving a contemporary spin to a classic décor style.

All the en-suite bathrooms have travertine tiles, double marble vanities and generous baths to be shared by candlelight for the ultimate in romance.

Hotel Features

A common feature of the The Last Word Resort Residences is the mosaic art created by the artists of Mandela Park Mosaics in Hout Bay. At The Franschhoek the mosaics are featured on the walls surrounding the swimming pool.
