Experience gracious winelands-hospitality in our lovingly restored 1904 Victorian homestead in the heart of Franschhoek - South Africa's Gourment Capital.

'Le Ballon Rouge' is one of the original traditional Western Cape homes. Completely renovated and extended into a charming small boutique guest house, it offers great hospitality and deluxe comfort.

The Guesthouse offers two Suites, one having a kitchenette and eight Rooms. Two of the rooms are superior double rooms, two are standard double rooms, three twin rooms and a superior double suite. All rooms have coffee and tea facilities and most have mountain views and private entrances.

7 Reservoir Street East Franschhoek
DIRECTIONS: Directions from Cape Town International Airport
* Keep to the left hand lane as you exit the airport.
* Immediately past the petrol station take the Borcherd's Quarry exit.
* This road curves sharply to the left.
* At traffic lights (after ± 1.5km) there is a major intersection. Turn right onto M10.
* Continue for approximately 2km to the next major junction. Turn right onto M12 (signposted for Stellenbosch & R300).
* This road continues for about 5km until you reach a junction with the R300. Turn left onto the on-ramp.
* No need to turn off this road, as after approximately 10km the road turns to the right and joins the N1.
* Continue on the N1 and take exit 47 to Stellenbosch/Klapmuts/Wellington.
* At the end of the off-ramp, turn right on to the R44.
* After ± 700m you reach a 4-way stop. Go straight across.
* Approximately 300m on, turn left to Franschhoek (R45).
* After approximately 10km you will come to a T-junction.
* Turn right at T-junction (R45).
* This road leads straight into Franschhoek (± 20km) and then becomes the main road of the village.
Upon entering Franschhoek
* The main road (Huguenot Rd) passes straight through the village and ends at the Huguenot monument.
* Turn left at the Post Office into Reservoir Street East
* Le Ballon Rouge is the 3rd building on the right.
* Parking is available in front of the guesthouse and in a parking area at the back of the guesthouse.
