Still Waters is a magical place set on the Velorenvlei bird and nature reserve and only 5 kms from the unspoilt beaches of Elands Bay with its famous left break waves for surfing and kite surfing enthusiasts.
The accommodation consists of 2 historic buildings set in over a hectare of gardens and grounds and can sleep up to 30 people if the entire property is hired.
The Pool house which was once the old stables, is a spacious 3/4 bedroomed as follows:
Master bedroom: Queen sized 4 poster bed and single bed(sleeps 3)
2nd bedroom: Double and single bed (sleeps 3)
3rd bedroom: Double bed only (sleeps 2)
Indoor braai room/4th childrens bedroom: Double sleeper couch(sleeps 2)
The house has a large open plan sitting/dining room with 2 single beds (sleeps 2)therefore sleeping up to 12 people and has satellite TV (TOP TV).
The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped (fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery etc) and there is bathroom, shower room and 2 toilets.
The verandah is lovely with dining area, braai area and stunning views over the huge communal swimming pool, rolling lawns and Velorenvlei lagoon.
Daily rate ranges between R800 to R1700, depending on number of guests, season and length of stay. Bed linen and towels are provided and for guests staying with us for a week or over, you are welcome to use the laundry room facilities.
The 160 year old farmhouse has been divided into 5 self catering units all with their own individual character and separate entrances.
Unit 1 is a very pretty annexe to the farmhouse, with oregon pine ceilings and stable doors. The large double bedroom has a lounge area with 3/4 sleeper couch in front of an open fireplace and there is a separate kitchen with a mini oven, bar fridge,microwave, crockery and cutlery etc. The en suite bathroom has a double shower and there is a private stoep with dining table and Weber braai.

Unit 2 (self catering unit)is a very spacious room (approx 35 square metres)with open plan areas offering a double and single bed, a fully equipped kitchenette area, dining table, lounge area with double sleeper couch and en suite shower room.

Unit 3 (self catering unit)is a large room (approx 35 square metres) with open plan areas. There is a double and single bed, a fully equipped kitchenette area,dining table and chairs, lounge area and ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath.

Both units 2 and 3 lead onto a large covered stoep at the back of the farmhouse with lounge and dining areas, lovely views across the fields and braai facilities are available in the extensive grounds.
Unit 4 (large self catering unit)is a lovely large room of over 35 square metres, with twin beds and a further single bed, yellowood ceilings, stunning views across the fields, fully equipped kitchenette area with dining table, lounge area with double sleeper couch and en suite bathroom with separate shower. There are also outdoor braai facilities for our guests to enjoy.

Unit 5 ( 2 roomed unit)is lovely with 2 separate rooms. It is situated at the front of the farmhouse and consists of a double bedroom (approx 16 sq metres)with ensuite bathroom and separate shower and next door, a very pretty large (42 square metres)open plan lounge/kitchen room with DSTV.
The kitchen is fully equipped (fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, electric frying pan, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery etc).
The lounge area has 2 single beds but no extra bathroom so all guests share the ensuite facilities. There is a big open fireplace for indoor braais or homely fires on colder nights and double doors lead onto a big stoep with dining area under vine, braai facilities and fabulous views over the Velorenvlei.

R400 to R550 per night depending on number of people and season.
Our neighbours who own an eco tourism farm have many 'on site' facilities through an interleading gate including a bar, restaurant (open friday night, saturday all day and sunday breakfast and lunch out of season and 6 days a week in season) and rentals of kayaks and quad bikes. Horse riding is also available and there is a fabulous bird hide right on the river with viewing deck. Fishing can also be organised upon request.
We can also arrange breakfast,lunch and/or dinner at the farm which is a few minutes walk away.Price on request.
The entire property can be rented out for Christian retreats, weddings or conferences and can accommodate up to 30 people. You are also welcome to pitch tents on the lawns! Prices available upon request but start from R100 per person. If accommodation for up to 50 people is needed, we can integrate the next door accommodation at the farm.
