Doringbaai is a small town on the West Coast of South Africa, with a variety of fynbos, wild flowers, whales and unspoilt marine life. Thornbay is situated in this lovely coastal town, and offers self catering and vacation holiday accommodation.

There are 5 units each with separate entrances. The units consist of a fully equipped kitchen, TV and private barbeque area overlooking the harbor, light house and with beautiful sea views. There are 1(sleeps 2) and 2 (sleeps 4 adults and 3 children) bedroom units.

The Dolphin and Whale are open plan units with a double bed ideal for 2 persons. The Marlin is a 1 bedroom unit with a double bed and a fold up futon, ideal for 2 persons and 2 small children. The Shark and Dorado has 2 bedrooms each. The premises are well maintained, and have a swimming pool and trampoline.

Thornbay is the ideal place for a relaxing, laze about holiday. Activities in the area include fishing, swimming and scenic beach front walking trails; Bird watching at Bird Island at the Olifants River; Trails for quad bikes and crayfish diving and whale watching.
