DeWaterkant community is nestled on the slopes of Signal Hill, overlooking Table Bay harbour, DeWaterkant lies in the historical Bo-Kaap suburb of Cape Town. De Waterkant was built for the early settlers of the 1700's. Most gay bars, restaurants, clubs & saunas are all situated De Waterkant area, this quaint 'village' situated between the city, greenpoint and the waterfront.

Today it is one the most fashionable destination in Cape Town. DeWaterkants initial cottages called Harbour View Cottages was the Capes 1st guest street, the village has grown to over 100 guest houses, villas and B&B’s and apartments. Walk to the new Cape Quarter shopping centre, great restaurants, bars and fashionable nightspots are all nearby.
