This designer apartment has just been newly transformed to take full advantage of the fabulous large, covered balcony that transforms the living space. Facing north, Apartment 216 The Rockwell is protected from the Cape Town winds and is lovely and sunny in winter, yet cool and eternally livable in summer. With a Balinese divan and a dining table outside, this apartment is all about making the most of Cape Town and the outdoors.

The air-conditioned interior was designed by a renowned interior designer with a retro feel to complement The Rockwell's 1900s New York inspired architecture. The retro-design makes full use of the interior space and flows easily into the protected balcony area with views from the floor to ceiling doors of the De Waterkant area and Signal Hill, and over towards Table Bay.

The furnishings, kitchenware, linens and appliances are all brand new and, as is expected at The Rockwell, of the highest quality. There is a full kitchen and a washer/dryer in the apartment to provide all the conveniences of home.

The Rockwell complex was inspired by the early 1900s architecture of Manhattan, and is surrounded by delightful sidewalk cafes, restaurants, bars, art galleries and quaint boutique-style shops. The complex has a stunning 7-story interior atrium and luxurious fittings throughout and also boasts an indoor heated pool.

De Waterkant is the trendiest neighbourhood in Cape Town and one of the most exclusive. The apartment enjoys an enviable location in the heart of the city without actually being in the CBD (which virtually closes down on weekends).

The amazing, new Cape Quarter Extension is literally across the road and is packed with up-market restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, galleries and a well-stocked supermarket.

From the apartment, you can easily walk to most major attractions of Cape Town.
