The Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve

The Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve is located on the Erfdeel farm, just 35 kms from the much loved Ceres, South Africa. This gorgeous reserve covers more than 1000 hectare of mountain area, and reaches the Matroosberg Peak. During the winter months the Matroosberg is often covered with a blanket of soft snow, and after a good snowfall, the Southern slopes remain snow-clad for some time and you can drive to the snow.

The Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve offers its guests plenty of comfort in all there accommodation facilities. For the a small group of guests, the Goatherd's House is available and can sleep 6 guests in 3 double beds. The house has all the necessary modern facilities, except for electricity, that guests would need to make there stay enjoyable.

The Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve has a 20 sleeper ski hut with 2 bathrooms, no bedding, a fully equipped kitchen to create that special meal, it has no electricity but a lovely inside fireplace. There are also camp sites for guests who would prefer to rough it a little in the outdoors, and to sleep under a blanket of stars.

There are many fantastic activities to take part in such as, 4x4 trails, quad biking for the adventurous, mountain and snow safari's, the Bedford trip, fun snow boarding, fishing, horse riding, abseiling, hiking, kloofing, game drives where you can meet the animals close up, cherry picking, target shooting, farm tours, sky diving and so much more.
