Britannia Bay is a 90 minute drive up the west coast, situated amidst Paternoster, Stompneusbaai, and St Helena Bay. Britannia Bay is a botanists dream, this floral kingdoms is also home to 200 bird species which tend indigenous flowers at the turn of Spring . The fynbos-scented coastal air acts as a harbinger for lob tailing dolphins and southern right whales, which put on an acrobatic display up to 10 months of the year. See an archaeological dig at Langebaans West Coast Fossil Park. Birdlovers will also delight in the neighbouring Berg River estuary and the Rocherpan Nature Reserve.
