Dolphin Manor

Imagine pure white beaches and the blue seas of famous Blouberg within walking distance of your doorstep. Imagine living in a luxury modern home in a tranquil neighbourhood. If you can, then Dolphin Manor is your home. It invites you to enjoy a wonderful relaxing visit to Cape Town at affordable rates. It can sleep up to 8 adults and 2 children if rented together with the flatlet (otherwise 6 people). IMPORTANT: we do not rent the flatlet to other visitors should you only wish to rent the house.

The elegant Dolphin Manor is only 2 blocks away from the sea and walking distance to both the lovely Blouberg beaches as well as shops, pubs and restaurants. No need to get into the car to drive somewhere! It is ideal for holiday-makers, families, surfers or couples who wish to enjoy a private breakaway. Close enough to walk but outside the reach of pubs' noise.

The house has a great flow: from the moment you step into the house through the extra large front door onto the porcelain tiles, you will be welcomed by a large open living area incorporating the kitchen, lounge, dining room which all lead straight onto the massive patio, 1000m2 yard and solar heated swimming pool. It is ideal for those family get-togethers.

IMPORTANT: WE DO REQUIRE A MINIMUM STAY OF 5 DAYS.

House Features:

Dolphin Manor oozes with modern finishes including porcelain tiles throughout the living area and passages, leather couches, satellite TV (DSTV) with all movie, news, music and sport channels, large 42" Flat screen TV, CD/DVD Player, iPod Docking Station/Speakers & dark wood furniture. The living area also has a lovely fireplace to keep the Cape Winter at bay and to create a romantic touch.

Modern kitchen: Granite Tops, Oven, gas stove, extractor fan, microwave, kettle, large (600l) double-door modern stainless steel fridge/freezer, all cutlery and crockery. The large inviting patio is covered and is the perfect spot to relax, prepare a barbeque or make a delicious pizza in the pizza oven. The patio is protected from wind and rain through large outdoor blinds that can be rolled up during good weather. Scullery: includes a large washing machine and a dishwasher. The 1000 sq meter yard is rather private and consists of plenty of space to wander around.

Dolphin Manor also boasts a solar heated swimming pool where one can cool off during the warm summer months.

There is also outdoor BBQ next to a lovely pergola and a 10 seater for a garden party or just laze on the loungers next to the pool

There is secure off-street parking for 2 large vehicles (3 normal sedan vehicles) behind a remote controlled gate.

The house is built across a very large public park that boasts a children playground. It is rather lovely to walk around the park in the morning or late afternoon when neighbours all walk around with their children and pets.

Security:

Although it is an extremely safe neighbourhood with many houses not even having walls, we have installed the following security measures:

In case of an emergency, each bedroom has a panic button directly connected to the armed response company.

Because the house has secure parking behind a remote controlled gate and with electrified fencing around the house, kite and wind surfers can leave all their equipment on the roof of their vehicles.

Accommodation:

Dolphin Manor is a spacious house which consists of the main house and the adjacent flatlet.

Main House: The main house has 3 Bedrooms: 2 bedrooms are en-suite with their own bathroom. Bedroom 1:

This is a large en-suite bedroom with a queen-size bed. This bedroom has direct access to the garden through a sliding door. The bathroom consists of a shower, toilet and washbasin.

Bedroom 2:

Another large en-suite bedroom with 2 single beds which can be pushed together or moved apart. The bathroom consists of a shower, toilet and washbasin.

Bedroom 3:

This bedroom has a queen-size bed and although it is not en-suite, it is right opposite the main bathroom which consist of a bathtub, toilet and washbasin.

Flatlet: Adjacent to the house and can be booked at an additional cost. This flatlet consists of a kitchenette, bedroom, lounge and bathroom (shower, toilet and basin). The lounge has a sleeper couch so the flatlet can sleep 2 adults and 2 children. Please note: one can only rent the flatlet if you have rented the house as well therefore the flatlet will not be rented separately. Bedroom 4:

A few steps takes one to the loft of the flatlet which has 2 single beds.

Bedroom 5:

Note that this is normally the lounge of the flatlet which has a sleeper coach which can be pulled out and provide a bed for 2 smaller children.

Should you have a very large family or group of friends, we have a 2nd house some 1.5km away which can also house the same amount of people and each house can host both groups for meals and get-togethers.

"From the start of the enquiry/booking process, through to our arrival and stay we were made to feel as if we were at home at the Dolphin Manor . Rikkus has been superb throughout, always willing to answer our queries, and has set the villa up so that it was just perfect for our needs (a party of 3 adults and 2 kids). Our expectations were exceeded! The location was ideal for us; quietly tucked away in a residential area, it was only two minutes walk (safe enough even for the kids)to a host of local amenities (shops/bars/cafe's/ restaurants etc)and similarily close to Blouberg Beach, with stunning views (especially at sunset!) of Table Mountain and Robben Island. The bedrooms were well appointed, the internal living spaces were huge, with all mod-cons but our favourite area was the outdoor 'braai & pizza oven' facilities, which led onto the lovely gardens and pool....a favourite with us all! We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our stay at Dolphin Manor, cause it afforded us easy access to all the tourist spots and activities, whilst also providing us with the luxury of being able to 'come home', chill out, relax and recover from the more hectic activities each day! There is no doubt that we will return to Blouberg sometime, but we will only do it when we know we can book this lovely villa! Thanks Rikkus"

DIRECTIONS: From Bayside Shopping Mall in Table View, head to the ocean on Blouberg Road. At the sea, enter the roundabout and turn right (north) traveling along the beach for about 200 meters, turn right into the first road (Foam) and at the 2nd stop street turn right into Dolphin Drive.
